How do I book a Medicare rebated session?

In order to be eligible for a Medicare rebate you must have a referral from your GP and a Mental Health Plan. The rebate will be $89 for a psychologist and $131 for a clinical psychologist.

If you don't already have these you can still book a session with one of psychologists, but you must get your referral before the date of your session.

To get your referral simply book an extended appointment with your GP (it usually takes around 20 minutes) and let them know to make your referral out to "Talked". They can then send your documents directly to us (referrals@talked.com.au) or you may upload them to your account.

Once you have these documents you can choose a therapist and then we will process your Medicare rebate for you after each session, Medicare will then pay your rebate back into your bank account a couple of days later. You must pay for the session in full to confirm your booking.

If you aren't worried about claiming a Medicare rebate you can simply book a session with any of our therapists without seeing your GP.
