How do I send reports and letters?
For Medicare clients you are able to send letters and reports directly to their GP from your client dashboard.
You can access letters for a client by:
- Choosing the client who the letter is for
- Then clicking on Letters in the left hand side panel
Please note if you don't see the Letters option, it may be because your client isn't a Medicare client.
Creating a Letter
Letters can only be created if we have the GP details for the client. If the GP details aren't available yet, we will add them for you once we receive the clients mental health plan from their GP or the client uploads it directly.
When you create a letter we will pre-fill it with the client details, GP details and header information, so you only need to worry about the actual content of the letter.
Writing the Letter
The editor is very straight forward and allows you to do basic formatting. You may change the date of the letter by clicking the green pencil icon. If the client has multiple GPs you may also change which GP the letter is for.
Previewing the Letter
To preview the letter you can click the PDF button to generate and download a PDF version.
Sending the Letter
When you're ready to send your letter simply click the Send button and after confirming your letter will be sent to the GP.
You do not need to worry about how the letter should be sent, we will handle this for you based on the GP's practice preference, normally it's either emailed or faxed.
Once the letter is sent the date and time it was sent will be shown to you.
Automated Letters
In some instances we will automatically send a letter to the GP on your behalf. This is usually to acknowledge a new referral and let the GP know the date/time of the clients session with you.
These automated letters will also be shown in your Letters dashboard.
FAQ's
How can I include assessment results in my reports?
We are working on this so that you can send assessments to clients and include the results in these reports.
Can I send letters to NDIS case workers?
Not yet, these letters are currently only for Medicare clients, but we are working on this.
Can I add the GP details myself?
We will add the GP details for you once we receive the referral and mental health plan. If you have been sent these documents by your client simply forward them on to us (info@talked.com.au) and we will add them for you.
